Meet the team

Mick Ireland:

Mick is the sole owner and managing director of Essex Turbo (Essex Turbochargers Ltd). He is a fully qualified engineer and has a lifetime of hands-on experience within the engineering and turbocharger industries.

Mick is responsible for the research and development of new components and all aspects of the company’s general engineering and CNC machining. He also leads the future expansion of the business.

Andy Jesney:

Andy is part of Essex Turbos Sales & Marketing team. Andy is responsible for Essex Turbochargers business development. Main duties include the sale of exchange turbos, providing customer technical support, the marketing activity including the branding, advertising, sales literature, website development, direct marketing campaigns and customer and supplier management systems.

Andrew Bond:

Andrew is part of Essex Turbos Sales & Marketing team. His main duties include all customer facing activities such as the sale of exchange turbochargers, providing customer technical support and building and managing the relationships with key suppliers. Andrew also works with Andy in the planning of Essex Turbochargers business development.

Karen Skeggs:

Karen is part of Essex Turbos Sales & Marketing team. Her main duties include all customer facing activities such as the sale of exchange turbochargers and providing customer technical support. Karen also coordinates Essex Turbos shipping activities and looking after the stock control activities such as stock management and supplier ordering and relationships.

Luke Parmenter:

Luke is in charge of the daily running and organisation of the workshop. He is responsible for the team of workshop technicians who prepare and rebuild passenger vehicle turbos. Luke also rebuilds electronic turbos which are the latest design of turbos being fitted to all the major brands. Examples of the type of electronic turbos Luke is responsible for rebuilding includes the: Audi turbo, BMW turbo, X-Type turbo, Focus turbo, Mondeo turbo, Mercedes turbo, Renault turbo, VW turbo.

Along with building turbos, Luke also coordinates the workshop purchasing to support the smooth running of Essex Turbochargers production process.

Paul Hines:

Paul is one of the team of workshop technicians. His main duties include preparing remanufactured turbos (reconditioned turbos) for the most popular passenger vehicles. He is also involved in re-building a lot of the older style customer turbos.

Paul began an apprenticeship with Essex Turbo over 20 years ago. As our longest serving employee Paul has accumulated a wealth of experience that is second to none on every make and model of turbocharger. Examples of the range of turbos Paul is responsible for rebuilding includes the: Mazda Turbo & Nissan Turbo (e.g. Almera turbo, Primera turbo, X-Trail turbo).

Steven Ireland:

Steven is one of the team of workshop technicians. His main duties include preparing remanufactured turbos (reconditioned turbos) for the most popular passenger vehicles. He is also involved in re-building customer turbos.

Since arriving Steve has taken the initiative in understanding all about electronically controlled turbos. Steve’s accumulated knowledge means he specialises in rebuilding electronic turbos for all the major brands. Examples of the type of electronic turbos Steve is responsible for rebuilding includes the: Audi turbo, BMW turbo, Jaguar X-Type turbo, Ford Focus turbo, Ford Mondeo turbo, Mercedes turbo, Renault turbo, VW turbo.

Nick Ireland:

Nick is one of the team of workshop technicians. His main duties include preparing remanufactured turbos (reconditioned turbos) for the most popular passenger vehicles.

Nick has built up first-class experience on the remanufacture of all make and models of turbos. Examples of the range of turbos Nick is responsible for rebuilding includes the: Citroen turbo, Nissan turbo (e.g. Almera turbo, Primera turbo, X-Trail turbo), Peugeot turbo, Renault turbo (e.g. Laguna turbo, Megane turbo, Scenic turbo).

Damon Roe:

Damon is one of the team of workshop technicians. His main duties include preparing remanufactured turbos (reconditioned turbos) for the most popular passenger vehicles.

Damon joins us with a very strong background in the motor repair industry. Examples of the range of turbos Damon is responsible for rebuilding includes the: BMW turbo (e.g. 120d turbo, 320d turbo, 520d turbo, 525d turbo, 530d turbo, 730d turbo, X3 turbo, X5 turbo), Renault turbo (e.g. Laguna turbo, Megane turbo, Scenic turbo).

Pat Jennings:

Pat is one of the team of workshop technicians. His main duties include preparing remanufactured turbos (reconditioned turbos) for the most popular passenger vehicles.

Pat joins us with a very strong background in the motor repair industry. Examples of the type of turbochargers Pat is involved in includes the: Ford turbo (e.g. C-Max turbo, Focus turbo, Galaxy turbo, Mondeo turbo, S-Max turbo, Transit turbo, Transit Connect turbo), Vauxhall turbo (e.g. Astra turbo, Combi turbo, Corsa turbo, Movano turbo, Vectra turbo, Vivaro turbo, Zafira turbo).
