All Essex Turbos exchange turbocharger stock is manufactured in-house by the companys highly skilled technicians and distributed via its experienced and knowledgeable sales team. Expansion


In 2007-2008 the company experienced a major upturn in demand for its products. This growth dictated a move to new and modern premises with heavy investment in new state of the art equipment. The priority for the company was to improve the customer service and speed of turnaround to fulfil orders.


Essex Turbo has seen a huge increase in the number of requests for remanufactured exchange turbos and customer rebuilds. Aligned to the move to new premises this growth has also required an expansion in the team at Essex Turbo with new members of staff being added to deal with both customer service and production.


The new premises are more spacious and energy efficient. They have enabled the company to adopt a new build mentality in setting up the layout of the building and associated facilities. The benefit has been to streamline the flow of activity in such a way that speeds up the whole sales cycle from enquiry to dispatch.


This new build design incorporates both new layouts and equipment including: brand new office facilities with additional workstations to manage the increase in enquiries and sales. There are also additional workstations for workshop technicians, new surface preparation area and equipment, new balance and flow rig area, increased storage area for turbo stock and parts and new dispatch area.

All in all Essex Turbo has seen a new chapter unfold and is looking to a bright future.

Our Pedigree

Essex Turbo have been involved in the production and development of motorsport turbos for many years and with the companies origins dating back to the early 1980s. The owner Mick Ireland had his first taste of the turbo industry when he worked for a sub-contractor of Brian Hart engines who were supplying the engine package for the turbocharged Toleman Hart Formula One cars in the 1980s.
